I’ve done a slight update to the main WireWoods House website. I’ve tried to make it a bit easier to add pictures of things that are going on. Hopefully I’ve succeeded.
We’ve been quite busy the past few days. Friday we painted our office with a faux finish called Soft Suede from Sherwin Williams. The color we picked is Fringed Denim. It took us 4 hours to put the base coat on and then at 10:30 P.M. we started on the faux finish part. That took another three hours. My arm gave out on the last hour and I couldn’t even lift it anymore, let alone paint. Traci tapped that female endurance and stuck it out till the end. Of course, now she can hardly move.
Saturday we ripped off the tape, swept up the room and taped down the plastic moisture barrier. Wrangling plastic with the flimsiest tape ever made (which doesn’t really like to stick to concrete all that much) was quite an adventure. The really interesring part though, was that we seem to have become an amusement attraction of some sort. Many weekends go by with nobody coming to see us, but the one day we had something planned (and were actually working on it)….first Bob and Lynn stopped by to see our painting. As they were leaving in coem my cousin Amy and her friend David (they were planning to come help actually). Just before they left in come our friends Jeff and Karen with thier daughter Miranda. Now I don’t mind all these people cming over at all, and I quite enjoyed it. But I do find it rather amusing how ‘fate’ works sometimes.
