Part of this article is interesting, the discovery that the “doom and gloom” forecast by the planet warming crowd will at least take a different form since the oceans are absorbing the heat.

But the part that really amazes is me, is the entire notion of “the Earth in energy imbalance”. What is this based on? Observations for the past 50 years? 100 years? 200 years? Even 10,000 years out of 4 billion years of continual global change means nothing. The notion of the Earth being in any form of balance is absurd! It’s like looking at a snapshot of a brief moment in time, the only one you can look at, and calling it “normal”.

The Earth isn’t going to stay the way it is while we have risen to ascendancy. The cares little for what we find comfortable or enjoyable and will continue on with it’s constant change. The hubris of humanity is truly amazing….
