My order came on Thursday but something was missing, the Airzooka Air Gun. The shipping invoice said it had been shipped. The email notification from ThinkGeek said it had been shipped. But it did not arrive. The email notification with tracking number for Airborne Express listed 1 package at 11 lbs. I received 2 packages, one at 6 lbs. and 1 at 33 lbs. The heavy one was the case of Bawls, nicely packaged so nothing would break. The smaller box was not large enough for the Air Gun. The shipping invoice had one anomaly; the “location” of the Air Gun was blank. I’m assuming this is an entry of where the item is stored in the warehouse. I think somebody in shipping goofed. They didn’t know where the Air Gun was and so it never made it into the box. I have sent 3 emails to Think Geek so far but no replies yet.
So, how are the the items I did receive? The Case o’ Bawls is great. I like the taste. It is much better tasting than Red Bull. Bawls packs a nice punch in the caffeine load as well. I had two over the course of Thursday, lunch and dinner and I was quite wired at 12:30am. I haven’t been wired on caffeine for quite a while, so that was a nice change.
The Infoglobe Caller Id Display is very cool. It looks nice, the display keeps changing and best of all I can see it in the dark office! A great caller ID device that I highly recommend.
Octane Energy Gel – I’m still undecided on this. I haven’t used it much so far so maybe it’ll hit me more later. From the brief use of it I have experienced, it’s like putting Aloe on a sun burn.
The Powerball Gyroscope is a blast. Man is my arm out of shape. The last gyro-ball thing I had I could use for quite a while. Now? Less than a minute and my arm is burning and exhausted! The LED is nice and gives you good feedback, and the string to get it started is better than the last one I had, no string, you just had to roll it across a surface to get it up to speed. However, the first time I used the string I thought I had broken it! I wound it up and pulled the string and got it stuck inside the ball against the spindle on the far side. “Great”, I thought, “brand new and I broke it already”. But after careful examination I quickly figured out how to “un-break” it. Later in the evening Bob did the same thing but with BOTH sides of the string. It’s easy to fix. :
The new Ratpadz GS Mouse pads are nice. There are some minor improvements over the original model which I have on my game PC. I put those on some of the other PC’s.
And lastly we come to the Smart Mass Thinking Putty. Essentially it’s a very large lump of colored Silly Putty. It’s fun. It’s a neat color. It’s great to play with while on the phone or while staring at the screen in a trance.
Hopefully I’ll get some reply to my emails and the Airzooka will show up.
