My post Christmas Think Geek Order came in yesterday. I just had to get some of the things that I didn’t get from my wishlist.

Inova X5 LED Flashlight This is a rugged little beastie that is heavier than I expected. While not as bright as a MAGLITE, it’s quite bright in a narrower cone and it’s LED/Battery life is quite long, LED’s 110,000 hours and batteries are 20 hours with a shelf life of 10 years. It’s Crushproof to 2000lbs. and waterproof to 150ft as well.

Glo-Toob FX Light, This little glowlight is rather intersting. Not a lot of light output but enough to see and function by. Waterproof to 300ft and tested to 11,500ft, it has a LED life of 100,000 hours and battery life of 30 hours. Could come in handy in some situations.

Green-Red Laser Pointer, Originally the Green Laser Pointer II was on my list, but then I found both in one and just had to get that instead. This is pretty nifty is rather large laser pointer. The red laser section is much smaller than the green laser section as you can see from the picture. Both use thier own and different types of batteries. The red is probably the brightest red laser pointer I’ve ever had (and yes I’ve had quite a few). The green is brighter by far than the red. You really can see the beam on the green, provided there is enough crap in the air, which there usually is. I think you’d need a pretty smoke filled room to see the red beam at all. Interestingly, the red beam is quite visible in a mirror even with normal room dust. The red has a range of 4,000ft and the green a range of 10,000ft. However this “power” comes at a price, the operating lifetime of the green is only 2000 hours compared to 5,000 hours for the red.

Smart Mass Thinking Putty, I love this stuff. It’s either good for my hands or sending me to early carpal tunnel syndrome. I purchased the Atmosphere color before and after many hours of use it’s starting to get a bit funky so I figured it was time for another one. This time I got Dark Matter. I play with this stuff quite a bit during my many hours of TiVo viewing.

Zero Fog Blaster, I actually received this from my uncle but never got around to opening it up. A friend noticed it and needed one for a gift for his brother in law and the stores were out. So I sold him mine and ordered a new one. I think this could be fun with the green laser pointer.

Arc LED Flashlight, This puppy was out of stock and still is. But it’s on order. One day it will show up. I do think I am a “flash-a-holic”. I don’t know what the appeal is but every time I’m in Lowes or Home Depot I’m drawn to the Maglites. I have 2 of the 5 D-Cell flashlights and I want more, in every size. Any time I come across a disply of the little mini keychain LED lights I’m drawn to them as well. I have two on my keychains but I always want more, in different colors.

This order was definitely light themed. Lots of fun light products! Of course, there are still plenty of items left on my wishlist at Think Geek.
