Yesterday I took my 04 Acura MDX in for service.  There is a problem with mildew in the window wells and it’s become unbearable.  Turns out they needed to order some parts so I have a loaner for 3 days.  They gave me a 2008 RDX.  The RDX is the smaller SUV in their line up with no 3rd row seat. It is AWD and Turbo.  How I’ve missed those two features in a vehicle together. I’ve been blasting around giggling like a school girl.  The press of acceleration is truly joyful to my soul and lifts me up into giddy clouds of happiness.

My son loves it too. He’s almost 3 and sits in his car seat with his hands up like it’s a ride at Kings Island and says “go fast!”  He also likes sharp turns that pin him into his car seat.  Yep, he’s mine!

Alas, it’s red, so I’m terrified while driving it.  I haven’t had a red car in close to 17 years and I’ve also had no tickets in that time despite driving faster than I ever did when I had red cars.  I put my V1 in on a visor mount to help out, but still…I know I’m stuck in every cops eye with red paint…
