Anyway…

Finally getting around to transcoding a bunch of VOB dvd rips into h.264 with AAC audio with AC3 pass-through.  Using Handbrake to do the transcoding.

Averaging between 65-70fps with all 4 cores above 98%, usually at 100%.

I have an Archos7 160gig unit arriving today to serve as the Toddler Video Entertainment System (TEVS) for the TL.  I looked into headrest replacements that have embedded 7" screens with DVD players and aux inputs… would have set me back $1499 WITHOUT the install cost!!!

The Archos 7 is $250 and it’s portable and no DVD’s to worry about. 

I just have to transcode the DVD’s…which is something I wanted to do anyway, so this is a good motivator.
