Am I the only one disturbed by the recent trend of passing laws that mandate we purchase a company’s products?  First it was auto insurance, now health insurance.  

We are now under government mandate to purchase 2 products from insurance companies.  We should all be very concerned with the way this country is heading. 

For the record I am neither a republican nor a democrat and I have no problem with nationalized health care, but then lets do it right and have REAL nationalized health care. But passing laws to mandate we purchase corporate products??? 

This is a very dangerous and slippery slope.

And think for a moment what a law really is.  What does it really mean when something is a law?  Take resistance to any law to the extreme and where do you end up? The government has the "right" to kill you.  So whenever you think there should be a law about something, what you really mean is that people should be killed for not obeying it.  A law ultimately is being forced to do or not to do something at gunpoint.

Folks this is not capitalism or the free market at work, and it’s not freedom. 
There is however a form of government in which corporations pass laws:
