Here is something I found interesting and possible only because of recent advances and the openings of the world: The New Diamond Age. The possibilities are quite endless once mass quantities of cheap diamond can be created. Many SCI-FI books have countless uses for diamond in a world where it’s almost free to manufacture. We’re now on the beginnings of the road leading to that place. Once this has become a mainstream process, I think it’s use for CPU’s will be only a footnote.
