At long last the basement office is begining to look done. Of course, it woudln’t be one of my projects if it went entirely smooth. They ran out of splash material at on end of the room and have to come back when more is fabricated. Also, the need for a brace at the back edge of the long spans was omitted from the work order so it wasn’t included, in materials or in price. The installers said it would be far cheaper for me to install a brace at the back edge and some brackets as well as drill holes for the wiring. So it’s off to HomeDepot or Lowe’s to gather supplies once more. What exactly are those little plastic inserts that you stick in the 2″ holes for wires called anyway? Check out the pictures of the “almost finished” basement project!
