Finally done with the drywall hell! It took a few hours to clean up the room, it was finally ready for painting at 10pm. Painting the ceiling was awful. It’s painful, it rains paint. Latex Paint in my eyes is an interesting feeling. I now have a new found hatred of textured ceilings when it comes to painting. Hopefully 2 coats will take care of the ceiling.

The brown walls….wow do they fight change. It will take 3-4 coats of purple to make the brown go away. But at least it’s a lot quicker and less painful than painting the ceiling.

I think I breathed in way too many fumes last night as well. After painting and clean up it was 2 am, but at least the 1st coat is on.

The Plan: 2nd coat this evening and 2nd coat of wall cut in tomorrow morning early. Saturday is Trim Day and maybe if we’re lucky hanging the new door. Sunday through Friday will be fiddly bits, replacing white outlets with black outlets, installing the AV Rack, hanging the screen, covering the front frame with fabric, and hanging the projector. Then, with luck, the carpet will be installed Friday and the seating will arrive at the same time.

It’s possible the room will be done by my birthday, but unlikely. More likely the carpet won’t get installed until Monday the 8th and we’ll discover something that slows us down next week.
