Sex must be part of the Axis of Evil

While I admit to being annoyed at the overt nature porn on the internet has taken, I hardly think it’s damaging, dangerous or needs legislation of any type let alone of this magnitude.
The U.S. House of Representatives is scheduled to vote Thursday on a proposal that would criminalize using misleading domain names to lure unsuspecting people to sex sites. Even if this were to pass what use would it be? The only way this works is if we enforce U.S. law on the rest of the world, something I fear we are leaning towards more and more. Why are we so terrified of sex in this country? Our views of sex in the U.S. seem very similar to those of the fundamentalist Islamic world we’re currently in a war with. Maybe there is something to that. The more similar a people and their values the more friction there will be between them? Perhaps all the “examples” of how we are different from them are just an attempt to disguise the fact that we are just like them, only different. I read in an article that the rise of fundamentalist religious belief in America is on par with countries like Iran. That says a lot.
